8 Fun & Flirty Mocktail Recipes To Ring In The New Year

What’s more flirty and fun than bringing in the New Year with your own homemade Mocktail recipes. As we head into 2025 it is my mission to write more Gluten free, healthier, non-alcoholic beverages to the table. Over a year ago, I discovered I was allergic to many ingredients, and since my gallbladder removal I can no longer tolerate alcohol. Mocktails have become a favorite drink to many focused on their wellness journey. Here’s 8 that I thought you might enjoy this holiday season-

8 Mocktails For A Fun and Flirty New Year

You can’t beat a delicious Cranberry beverage for the holidays, but we all know it’s boring alone, so why not add a simple splash of sparkle to the glass:

The Cranberry Sizzle- pour cranberry juice into a glass of choice (I like rock glasses) over ice if you prefer and a dash of cucumber water. Garnish with mint leaves or cucumber.

Orange Sliced Sparkling Water- this one is super simple and sweet if you are watching calories: add several slices of fresh oranges to your glass of ice and pour sparkling water over top; garnish with a fresh minty leaf stick or orange slice…YUM!

Ginger Beer poured over ice is the basic of all Moscow Mules:

You’ll Need-

  • 1 fresh lime
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • fever tree ginger beer I’ll be honest, this stuff alone is a perfect mocktail if you’re too exhausted come New Years

Shaker cups make it fun and flirty especially if you’re hosting. Put 1 cup of ice into the shaker, pour in the club soda, ginger beer (eyeball how much you’d like for flavor between 1/4 cup and a 1/2), squirt syrup over and give a good shake. Pour into glass and garnish with lime.

New Year’s Party Hosting Tips:

  • allow your guests to be in full glam/comfort- this means DO NOT make them take their shoes off at the door
  • have a variety of non-alcoholic and alcohol content for those that prefer a little conconction
  • be simple and sweet- elegant Hors d’Oeuvres, not too fancy but fancy enough if you know, you know
  • some plastic dinnerware is okay but have your main dishes on a nice plate
  • ditch the plastic cups and solo crap- these people want to feel loved, important- break out the glass
  • play music softly- this allows everyone to adapt to the room while music is playing very softly in the background (still gives people a comfortable way to chit chat)
  • clean as you go
  • declutter countertops and tables often
  • set the mood with toxic free scents like simmering pots instead of candles

Now here comes the FLIRT

If you do have any alcohol, keep it to a minimum. You want to stay safe above all else. And even if you don’t, be mindful of where your drink is at all times-

  • watch your drinks– make sure no one is able to slip anything into your drink with these covers
  • keep your beverage at a chest length when holding your glass (never down to your side because people can slip things into it easier)
  • dazzle up the glass with garnishes for a flirtier experience
  • hold the glass with your pinky finger out (probably not the right etiquette but I bet you’ll get more attentions

Ca Phe Muoi

Cà phê muối is a unique Vietnamese coffee drink that incorporates a small amount of salt to enhance the coffee’s flavor. Originating from the city of Huế, this beverage combines the richness of strong Vietnamese coffee with the subtle, savory notes of salt, creating a distinct taste experience. The salt is often added to a layer of sweetened condensed milk at the bottom of the cup, or in a whipped creamy topping, balancing the coffee’s bitterness and sweetness.
